the day draws nearer...

Hello my Shotians and welcome to another installment of :::DUN DADUN DUUUUN::

SHOT IN BLOGOSPHERE!!!!!

Now I can probably guess what you're wondering right now. "Wasn't there a Shot in Blogosphere entry two weeks ago?" yes there was and now here is another one. I will be trying to update the blog every two weeks from now on because I know, and have heard from the fans want more news involving Shot. So i am more than happy to oblige.

The day draws nearer, my pretties. Shot is coming back to the city that welcomed it with open arms and was left in a wasteland. A shell of its former self, not able to sleep at night without nightmares of the last Shot show that ran a dirty train of rock on one of its beloved venues. Shot is coming back to NYC and this time...they're not joking around. No fan will be left standing. No stage will be able to contain them. No sound system can tame their sound. There's no telling what could happen at a Shot show. Girls will definitely be involved. Dancing might ensue. Jumping is optional. Getting naked is a must. You will bang your head even if you don't want to. The trance people get into while at a Shot show is not unlike that of the many zombies in all of these new zombie horror films. I even dare say that these directors and filmmakers got the idea to make their zombies run faster and be more ravenous from watching the audience at a Shot show.

So check out the events page on the website, on the facebook, or even on the blogspot.com site to check which show you can make it to. Shot has a couple of shows lined up for the rest of the year and they are ready to unleash their rock unto the New York masses once again. They are also releasing the Kraken, a.k.a. their new singer. His voice will freeze you in your tracks, explode you into a thousand tiny little pieces, then melt those pieces down and reform you to do it all over again. The next couple of shows are going to have surprises, favorites, spills, chills, and maybe some drinking...maybe some drinking.

now its time for....Shot in Blogosphere at the movies! This week I review the instant cult classic, Human Centipede. The movie that gives "ass to mouth" a whole new meaning. The movie boasts the medical procedure done in the film is 100% accurate. I don't know whether it is or isn't, nor much do i care. There was something oddly appealing about seeing three people attached like a centipede. And while there were a couple of undertones to the idea (How human, or humane are we if one of us came up with this idea, which is essentially what happened. We're still animals in the long run. When do we stop becoming human.) I couldn't help thinking "if all three were girls, this would be extremely hot." There's your typical horror stuff going on here, and the story is bare bones, but i think they're big selling point was the centpede itself, which worked out pretty damn well considering what happens in the movie. In the pantheon of horror movies, it doesn't hold a candle to the greats, but it was a great idea and it was executed fairly well. I hear there's a sequel being made right now that promises even more screwy shit than the first, so we'll see...

well that does it for Shot in Blogosphere. Remember to check out which shows you can make it to in the city. and if you don't live in the city, don't worry, Shot will be coming for you. sooner than you think.

Till next time....
